SYNOPSIS
In 1997 Paris, Amélie Poulain is a young waitress looking for love and perhaps for the meaning of life in general. A shy young woman with a unique and colorful spirit, she has a taste for all of life's small pleasures such as immersing one's hand in a sack of grain, cracking the crust of a crème brulée with the back of a teaspoon or skipping stones on the Canal Saint Martin. As Amelie interacts curiously with her neighbors, customers, and a mysterious image collector, she realizes that the way to happiness requires here to take her own initiative and the ability to reach out to others.
